Safety tips

  • Never pay a token, deposit or advance before seeing the property and the owner's identity and title documents in person.
  • Check the encumbrance certificate, approved plan and tax receipts. For plots, verify DTCP/CMDA/BDA/HMDA approval and the survey number at the sub-registrar office.
  • Be wary of prices far below market and of posters who refuse a site visit.
  • Use the site's messaging or call the number revealed on the listing; do not move to unrelated apps for payment.
  • Report suspicious listings with the "Report" link — three reports hide a listing automatically pending review.
